Design

naked Retreats properties are designed by Delphine Yip, wife of Grant Horsfield and a partner at Ben Wood Studio Shanghai. Studio Shanghai is renowned for Shanghai’s Xintiandi, other ‘tiandi’ projects in China and has designed numerous resorts in Asia. For naked Retreats, Delphine has created a design that fits into the natural setting and environment and brings guests as close as possible to nature, in comfort.  She has striven for a sense of peace, tranquillity and homeliness.

Build

All construction is overseen and managed by the naked Retreats team to ensure the highest quality and standards. We work with local materials and traditional crafts as well as state-of-the-art construction techniques such as SIP (structural insulated panels), SIRE (modern rammed earth walls), etc.  naked Stables Private Reserve is aiming to be the first LEED platinum certified resort in China.

Operate

We put just as much care into operating our resorts as we do in creating them. Our aim is to provide personalized, professional service yet with the naked Retreats attitude. That means using local staff and resources, purchasing local produce, reducing energy consumption and waste, yet without compromising on comfort. Thus we give our guests an experience that is not only a relaxing, restorative retreat, we throw in a sense of fulfillment too.
