Nestled in gorgeous mountain scenery, naked has magically transformed a former quarry into China’s first natural amphitheatre. Situated to the west of naked Castle, Rock Theatre is a stunning 2000m2 open-air space, sitting 410 meters above sea level.
Surrounded by lush bamboo grove, 14 rows of tiered seating offers capacity for up to 220 spectators. With acoustic principles in mind, its design places the stage next to a 20m-high natural surface, which instills sounds with rich and captivating textures.
Rock Theatre is an extension of the castle’s architectural language, with stones used extracted from the former quarry that was previously on the site. This unique new venue strives to recreate nature whilst complementing the history of naked Castle itself.
Rock Theatre’s wonderful location, flawless acoustics, and fascinating origins make the venue perfect for a diverse range of shows and events, whether it’s an outdoor concert, opera, lecture, wedding, or press conference. There’s no doubt that Rock Theatre will become another defining piece of architecture at naked Castle.
