High quality seasonal ingredients

At kikaboni we strive to use only seasonal produce and as much fresh, organic produce grown on our very own naked Farm as possible. Our imported ingredients are bought from vendors that guarantee traceability and sustainability of ingredients and all of our meat is free-range and China trade approved.

Little ones are welcome at kikaboni too – just ask for our children’s menu!

Eric Wang

Meet Eric Wang, Head Chef at kikaboni

From a foodie family, Eric started young, helping in the kitchen of his family home before going on to train at culinary school in his home province of Henan. After spending 6 years in Shanghai kitchens, Eric joined the naked team in 2011 as Chef de Partie. He quickly fell in love with the friendly, international environment where he learned from top chefs from all around the world. But that isn’t the only thing that has kept him in Moganshan, the beautiful scenery and relaxed pace of life helped too! 7 years later and Eric is leading a skilled team at beautiful lakeside restaurant, kikaboni.

With a focus on farm-to-fork cuisine, kikaboni showcases the best of South African flavours with a Mediterranean influence. Dine here and you’ll taste lots of healthy, green, organic ingredients – sourced locally where possible and often from our naked Farm itself. In fact, much of Chef Eric’s favourite ingredients, herbs, are picked just a matter of minutes from the kikaboni kitchen. But Eric’s absolute favourite? South African anise.
